The SATAT Scheme targets entrepreneurs who want to establish CBG plants. These plants convert agricultural waste, municipal solid waste, and other organic residues into CBG, which can be used as a cleaner, affordable alternative to conventional fuels. The OMCs, including Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum, support this initiative by purchasing the CBG produced at these plants for automotive and industrial use. This green fuel alternative not only promotes clean energy but also supports waste management, reducing harmful emissions and air pollution.
