Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana(SSY) 2024 -Interest Rate & Application Process
The application process of the Scheme for Adolescent Girls is offline. Out-of-school girls are identified through the surveys done by the Anganwadi Workers. The Anganwadi workers carried out house to house visits for collecting information and registering eligible girls. The benefits are disbursed through the Anganwadi Centres so ensure that every adolescent girl is supported nutritionally and health wise. The scheme is also in support of other schemes like the Swadhar Greh Scheme and Sukanya Samridh Yojana, targeted towards the adolescent population, empowering them in various spheres.
SAG collaborates with other health programs that address other girls’ issues for holistic development. It also collaborates with programmes like the National Creche Scheme, which envisions providing an environment of development and learning for the adolescent girls and young mothers.
The Scheme for Adolescent Girls (SAG) is a policy initiated by the government of India to treat and correct the issue of malnutrition for growing females. It does so by concentrating on nutritional and non-nutritional enabling factors to help them live a better and more self-sufficient life. SAG collaborates with the likes of PMMVY and Poshan Tracker schemes.
