📝 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- General Duty (GD):
- A 3-year Bachelor’s degree in any non-technical subject from a recognized university.
- Technical (Engineering/Electrical):
- An Engineering degree in disciplines like Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and related fields.
Age Limit
- 21 to 25 years (Born between 1st July 2000 and 30th June 2004).
- Age relaxation:
- 5 years for serving Coast Guard personnel.
🩺 Medical Standards
- Height: Minimum 157 cm (relaxation for candidates from hilly/tribal areas).
- Chest: Minimum 5 cm expansion.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
- Tattoo Policy: Tattoos are not allowed on any visible part of the body.
💼 Selection Process
The selection process comprises five stages:
- Stage I: Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT)
- Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)
- Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB)
- Stage IV: Medical Examination
- Stage V: Induction
