The Chief Minister’s Paryatan Siksha Yojana is a groundbreaking initiative launched by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to enhance tourism and hospitality in the region. Recognizing the growing demand for skilled professionals in the tourism sector, this scheme aims to sponsor local youths for training in various tourism-related courses. The Chief Minister Paryatan Vikas Yojana seeks to provide financial support to students aspiring to enter the hospitality and tourism field. This initiative comes in light of the need for trained manpower, which is essential for the growth and sustainability of the industry. The Arunachal Tourism Scheme under this program focuses on equipping youths with the necessary skills through various diploma and degree courses.
Courses available under this scheme include:
- B.Sc. in Hospitality and Catering
- Diploma in Food Production
- Diploma in Food & Beverage Service
- Diploma in Front Office Management
- Diploma in Housekeeping
- Diploma in Bakery & Confectionery
Through this scheme, a total of 8 students will be sponsored for a B.Sc. course, while 25 students will receive support for diploma courses offered by recognized institutions.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a domicile of Arunachal Pradesh.
- Candidates should have completed Class XII for B.Sc. courses or Class X/XII for diploma courses.
- For Post Graduate Diplomas, candidates must hold a degree in any stream.
- Only Scheduled Tribe students from Arunachal Pradesh are eligible for sponsorship.

- Any other documents requested by the Director Tourism Arunachal Pradesh during the application process.
How to Apply
- Visit the District Tourism Office: Interested candidates should first visit their nearest District Tourism Office.
- Submit Application: After the advertisement is published, applicants can submit their applications in plain paper or prescribed format, along with the required documents, at the Directorate of Tourism, Arunachal Pradesh.
- Merit List: A merit list will be created based on academic performance.
- Interview Process: Selected candidates will undergo an interview conducted by the District administration before final selection.
This initiative is closely linked with other government schemes such as the PRASAD Scheme and the Bharat Darshan Scheme of India, which aim to promote tourism across various regions. Furthermore, it complements the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana and the Swavalamban Loan Scheme, providing holistic support for budding entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.
